Did the Phone Ring?

We all have the same lines and we all use them because they are simple. We might put a little twist to the line just to add our own flavor, but at the end of the day, it's all the same. You need to wake up because tomorrow was two weeks ago and now your friends are starting to wonder if you're going to be okay! You really fooled yourself into thinking that it was going to work out with this guy; but now you realize that you have just fallen into a game called - "Let Me Play Mind Games". The plan is to tell you everything you want to hear when in reality I can't wait to cut you off. The truth is, I have this really cool girl who might be able to hang out with me if I get out of here within the next ten minutes.

Listen, it's all about fitting you in the short-term plan. This guy is waiting for the right time to call you; that is, when girl #1 and girl #2 have a block on their schedule he'll call you as a backup plan. The sad part is that when he actually calls you will be shocked, sad, surprised, and excited. He will probably start the conversation with sorry I didn't get a chance to call you earlier; I got tied up at work and haven't had any sleep lately. You will buy into his crap because it works every time. It's not your fault because he will sound so honest and truthful that it will lead you to say 'oh it's okay don't worry about it.'

We all know that it doesn't take two weeks for a guy to call a girl that he ecstatically claimed to have had a great time when they had dinner. Forget the three-day rule; we are no longer in high school passing notes! If a man says he's going to call you tomorrow, then you should expect him to call you. If a man can't keep his word on a simple task such as this, then what is he good for? A man's word is the very thing that his character stands on. When we say we're going to call a woman, that's exactly what we plan to do. If we don't, then you might as well find yourself another catch. Don't get me wrong, there are times that we do get tied up at work, but it's usually followed up with a quick two-minute call saying 'hey, pretty lady, I'm really busy this week, but can we catch up next week!' It takes less than a second to make that call.

Look, you have to see when the game is being played on you. The male mind is very simple; tricky at times, but easily solved! It's like that little puzzle that appears to be so hard to solve until you realize that 1 + 1 is always 2. I know what it feels like to sit around waiting for that one girl to call, but you can't be nave about the situation. If a guy is interested in you, he won't keep you waiting. When a girl catches our attention, we call right away because we always assume that there's at least one other guy out there trying to get with her.
